📍Age 3 One of the cheapest sandwiches you can find anywhere. These deep-fried sandwich pockets are stuffed with different fillings, both savory and sweet with seasonal flavors. Their best-seller is the 100 Yen whipped cream one which is insane value. I think they recently doubled the prices for all other sandwiches but if you only get the whipped cream one its still worth it imo.
📍Katsuo Shokudo: This is a great breakfast spot in Shibuya. I arrived around 15 minutes before opening time and got in within around 30 minutes. Their main “gimmick” are freshly shaven Katsuboshi served with rice and different condiments. It might look weird but it was all super delicious and well worth it.
📍Shodai: Another spot that was super hyped on social media a couple months ago is Shodai. Their main staple is white curry udon, curry udon with a potato foam on top. Again, sounds weird but the combo works really well. I think I had to wait around 10 minutes to get in on a saturday and the price is very reasonable, so this is a recommendation for sure.
📍Gyukatsu Motomura: The beef version of Tonkatsu, a deep fried piece of meat that you can cook to your own liking on a stone plate with different sauces and rice. They do have multiple locations across Tokyo and if you avoid the main popular spots like in Asakusa, you can get in right away.
📍Maguro to Shari: Another place that saw its peak popularity a while ago is Maguro to Shari, literally tuna and rice. And that’s what they serve here, with different cuts and variations. The tuna was super fresh and it wasn’t too expensive considering the quality. When I went to the Shibuya location, I was able to get in right away.".
