@pbs_sunnybankhills is hands down one of the best korean food spots i’ve ever had in brisbane🤤 popular sydney & adelaide korean food chain finally opened in brisbane🇦🇺we visited them for their grand opening weekend where they gave away 528 bowls of their signature pork bone soup🐷🌶️ which came w/ a bowl of steamed white rice!🍚♨️
what we ordered:
• seafood pancake🦐 ($31) = 10/10✨
• half jokbal + half bossam🐷 ($62) = 8/10
• pork bone soup (u.p. $27) = 9/10✨
• soju🍶
of course we had to get their seafood pancake which was fried till a beautiful golden brown and SO CRUNCHY🤤 it literally speaks for itself,, i thoroughly enjoyed this one as the spring onions were fried till fragrant and crispy, and look at the HUGE whole prawns too😱 this was well worth its price tag
i loveeed the gochujang marinade that accompanied the jokbal (pig trotters) and bossam (boiled pork belly) as it packed so much flavour!! despite its looks, the sauce tastes largely like bean paste that isn’t spicy at all😋 pair it with the ssamjang and some lettuce for the perfect bite🥬
the highlight was ultimately the pork bone soup, which by the way was a HUGE portion and contained at least 5 pieces of pork bones that contained a significant amount of meat on each of them🤤 the meat was fall off the bone tender💦my favourite was the sweet mustard dipping sauce that was tangy and sweet at the same time!
the best part of korean cuisine is definitely the unlimited side dishes (banchan)!! pbs offers some unique ones like their candied sweet potatoes, marinated fishcake, crabmeat salad w/ mayo, seaweed konjac noodles, beansprout salad, kimchi and japchae (korean glass noodles)🍠🥗
📣from now till 20th of august, to celebrate their grand opening, order any soju and receive $5 cashback immediately (in cash💵)
